Course Hours: Depends on your line of insurance: Life 16 hrs, Health and Accident 16 hrs, Life Health and Accident 32 hrs, Property 32 hrs, Casualty 32 hrs, Property and Casualty 32 hrs, Personal Lines – Property and Casualty 32 hrs, Bail Bonds 8 hrs, Title None
All prelicense hours must be done in a classroom
Continuing Education
Course Hours: Agents and Adjusters: Twelve (12) CE credit hours are required annually for a single license. Eighteen (18) CE hours are required annually for combined LH/PC licenses. a. 24 hours required biennially, b. 3 hours of ethics, c. Personal Lines agents and adjusters: 3 hours of flood insurance CE every 4 years
License Renewal Cycle: No license renewals in this state. License is perpetual as long as agent does not go more than 1 year without a valid appointment and meets CE requirement.
Amount of credit hours that can be done via ClickCE courses per state rules/regulations: 50%, 50% must be in a classroom
Course Topics: All courses must be licensed related courses. L/H agents complete 9 hours L/H and 3 hours in general insurance. LH/PC-combined licensees must complete at least 6 credit hours in LH courses and at least 6 hours in PC courses. L/H agents may only complete 75% of the required hours in insurer- sponsored courses.
Carryover Amount: Single License: Up to 9 excess hours may be carried over to the next reporting period Dual License: Up to 6 excess hours per license type may be carried over to the next reporting period ONLY if they have accumulated more than 9 hours per license type.
Proctor Requirements: NO proctor required for any course
