Course Hours: Depends on your line of insurance: Life 16 hrs, Health and Accident 16 hrs, Life Health and Accident 32 hrs, Property 32 hrs, Casualty 32 hrs, Property and Casualty 32 hrs, Personal Lines – Property and Casualty 32 hrs, Bail Bonds 8 hrs, Title None
All prelicense hours must be done in a classroom
Continuing Education
Course Hours: 36 hours, 3 of these credits must be in the subject of ethics. All Iowa licensed resident insurance producers who sell federal flood insurance policies shall be required to complete a one time 3 hour requirement on flood insurance. Those who sell indexed life insurance and/or indexed annuities must take at least 4 hours of index approved courses.
License Renewal Cycle: CE and license renewal must be completed prior to the experation date on the license.
Amount of credit hours that can be done via ClickCE courses per state rules/regulations: 50%, 50% must be in a classroom
Course Topics: Independent self-study courses (18 credit hours of the total requirement may be met through self-study) and Classroom study.
Carryover Amount: No excess CE credit hours may be carried over to the next reporting period.
